Hello, I am Vanessa.

I’m the heart behind Sweetness Photography, based in Ipswich and photographing families across the Lockyer Valley and Brisbane. My passion is creating timeless and heartfelt images that tell the story of your family - whether it’s the anticipation of maternity, the precious early days with your newborn, the sweet milestones of babyhood, or the joy of family connection.

My approach is relaxed and natural. I believe the most meaningful photographs come from genuine moments - laughter, cuddles, and the little details you’ll want to hold onto forever. Clients often tell me how much fun they had during their session, which is exactly how I want you to feel: comfortable, connected, and present.

Newborn sessions are baby-led with a focus on safe, simple posing and natural detail. While most sessions are held in my studio setting, in-home newborn sessions are also available by request if that’s where you feel most at ease.

Away from the camera, life is wonderfully full with my two boys and husband - whether we’re running around the backyard, at the skatepark, or simply soaking up the chaos of family life. I’m a firm believer that good coffee makes everything better (though I’ll never say no to a bubble tea), and when I do get a quiet moment, you’ll usually find me binge-watching Law & Order: SVU or a soppy drama series.
