Thank you so much for booking a Christmas mini session with me! I can’t wait to capture some heartfelt, festive memories for your family.

Here’s everything you need to know to help your session run smoothly:

Location

My studio is located at my home in Moores Pocket. The exact street address will be sent to you the day before your session.

As the studio has white floors and linens, I kindly ask that shoes are removed inside. If you would like to wear shoes in your photos, please make sure they are clean/new and won’t leave scuff marks.

Preparing Your Kids

Keep it light and fun: Let them know the session will be quick and playful—it’s all about cuddles, giggles, and just being together.

No pressure: Please don’t worry if your child isn’t in the mood to “perform.” I’ve worked with every age and personality (and have spirited kids of my own!). I’ll guide and prompt them in a way that feels natural.

Rest & snacks: A little rest beforehand and a snack before arriving can help keep energy levels steady.

Comfort items: If your child has a favourite small toy, feel free to bring it, we can even use it behind the camera to grab attention if needed.

After-session treats: If you’d like to use rewards or bribery, please save these until after the session to avoid sticky fingers or full cheeks during photos.

On the Day

Please arrive on time - sessions are scheduled back-to-back and I want to make sure you get the most from your booking.

Sessions are designed to be short and relaxed, so we’ll move quickly but keep things light and fun.

Once you arrive, take a moment to settle in, pop shoes off if needed, and we’ll get started right away.

If little ones are prone to spills or wriggles, you may want to dress them once you arrive (in the car) just before your session.

What to Wear

For the best results with this year’s Christmas set, I recommend keeping outfits neutral and timeless. Think: creams, whites, beiges, soft browns, greys, or muted greens.

If you’d like to bring in colour, deep forest green or burgundy photograph beautifully. Please avoid bright colours, neons, or bold patterns/logos as they can distract from the natural, festive feel of your images.

The goal is to coordinate as a family rather than match exactly—layers and textures (like knits or linen) always add a lovely touch.

After Your Session

I love sharing a little sneak peek on my social media within a couple of days—keep an eye out! (Feel free to tag and share, but please don’t alter or crop the images.)

Your session fee includes all the edited digital images. These will be delivered via a private, password-protected online gallery within 4 weeks. You can download, print, and share them however you like.

Warmly,
